The editorial below I submitted in 1997. Think they don't have custody-busting conferences? It doesn't matter if its a union or father, those who make up government bureaucracy must stay up at night inventing ways to deprive citizens of their "rights". Before a pregnancy came along to redirect my life, back in late 1996 felt need to get involved in union politics. I could change a few words in this editorial and make it apply to fathers in general and it would fit the moment. Sad.
