How Do We Label Junk?

Below is a picture of a 1956 Lincoln, taken circa 1977, parked across the street from my business. Then, the car was over twenty years old. (Does anyone know how much this car is worth today?) I had just purchased it, paying $100 dollars. (I had a warehouse on the south end of town for storing vintage antiques. I had a collection of convertibles.)

This is what Mr. Lovernic called "junk". For many years he was a Cadillac man; traded them in every few years. To him all Ford products were junk. Any car older then his was junk.

The vehicle below was in excellent shape. Minor rust and very little cancer. (I already obtained the replacement parts.) I had the foresight to buy these for investment. After 1975, my business was called: "Custom Auto Shop". Besides specializing in foreign cars, Fiat, Subaru and Toyota, I did a lot of antuique work, welding, fabricating and design. I operated a legitimate business in a commercial building in an area with heavy consentration of commercial properties within a several block radius; intermixed with residential homes.

The two pictures below show a 1956 Cadillac suspended from rolling I-beams, hanging from the ceiling. Body taken off of frame for complete restoration. The roof of this car was modified, as back section was replaced with smaller window from a limousine, including installation of "moon roof window". This model had the air conditioning unit mounted in the trunk and twin heaters. (More of these pictures will be posted in the photo gallery.)
