The article below was published in the Sunday Independent on 03-15-1981. (Nine days after.) Here we have a reporter coming up from Philadelphia, driving almost a hundred miles one way, to find out what happened. It seems he talked to various people but could not get into the prison to interview me and hear both sides of a story. It seems the reporter drove another 25 miles to the county courthouse to review court records.
Note: A reporter is suppose to be trained in certain disciplines of the profession. Not a party to the events, biased reporting is evident in the sparse use of quotation marks. However, this reporter, at that time, did make the following statement: "...but there are still a great many details that are unanswered in the case". I agree on that point.
A summary page will be added. For now, who was Mr. Lovrinic? According to his son, a doctor, as recorded in the transcripts, during cross examination, testified his father had two nicknames, "Mayor" and "Preacher". That is, by far, a f*!#ing understatement!
